The Volunteer Civil Protection Association of Agios Stefanos (S.E.P.P.A.S.), in its ongoing effort to strengthen civil protection and monitor local weather conditions, has installed a weather station by AGENSO.
Through AGENSO’s specially designed platform, S.E.P.P.A.S. has the ability to monitor weather conditions in real time and receive hourly fire risk assessments and forecasts for the next four days, based on predictions and analysis of recorded data.
AGENSO’s systems are ideal for civil protection applications, as they are energy-autonomous and offer remote activation and control capabilities. These features make them particularly suitable for forecasting floods, wildfires, and other extreme weather events.
The station’s technological infrastructure relies on wireless communication and high-precision integrated sensors, delivering reliable data even under challenging environmental conditions. Furthermore, all data is stored and made accessible through an online application, enabling further analysis and use by the Association’s members and relevant authorities.
The station’s data is available here.
