On November 22nd, the AGENSO weather monitoring system installed at the summit of Liakoura of Mount Parnassus, in collaboration with the National Observatory of Athens, recorded the highest wind speed ever measured in Greece: 257.5 km/h.
On the same day, a new wind speed record was also recorded at the summit Iraklis of Mount Parnassus, reaching 209.2 km/h.
These extreme measurements highlight the importance of continuous monitoring of severe weather phenomena and reinforce the need for reliable data collection networks in mountainous and remote regions.
